Tourism and business development  Jaffa Port The refurbishing and development of the Jaffa Port as an area of sightseeing, rest and water sport for the welfare of citizens of tel Aviv-Yafo and the general public, while conserving the unique character of the port, the interests of the residents and ensuring development of the public areas in the port and their upkeep. Principal tasks According to the agreement in principle that was signed between the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo, the Ministry of Finance and the Israel Land Administration, the responsibility for development, operation and maintenance of the port will be transferred to the Municipality. The development budgets will be received from the Israel land Administration after the preparation of an agreed development plan for the port. The principal tasks for 2004. . Advancement of the statutory plans, based on the agreements negotiated in the framework of the round table. . Completion of the certification and preservation file of Jaffa Port. . Advancement of the negotiations vis-a-vis the Israel Land Administration, regarding the transfer of authority of the port to the Municipality. . Preparation of the plan for operation and maintenance of the port.
